VEHIX.COM CREATES NEW AUTOMOTIVE REVENUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CABLE COMPANIES
Cross-Platform Strategy Includes VOD and iTV and Allows Cable Providers to Drive New Revenues into Internet and Interactive Marketing Channels
SALT LAKE CITY – September 25, 2006 – Vehix.com, a leading national online automotive portal, has created a new cross-platform offering that provides cable companies with new revenue opportunities that can be custom tailored for automotive manufactures, local dealers and dealer associations. This unique offering allows Vehix.com content to be distributed to more consumer access points by cross-purposing it to multiple distribution platforms including VehixTV, broadband cable company portals, Video on Demand (VOD) and soon to be launched iTV.
Vehix is currently testing iTV with full interactivity for on demand content and database searching. Vehix is adapting its existing content for VOD and iTV as well as its lead generation engine to support interactivity on VOD and iTV. Vehix’s wide range of multi-media content and video programming includes 85 video test drives, 10 buying guides, new vehicle showrooms, test drives with 360 degree interior and exterior images and crash test videos.
Vehix’s is offering automotive dealers an advertising option that will provide them with solid, qualified leads and a way to measure the impact of their advertising dollars. Since Vehix launched its cross-platform offering, leads to dealers have increased more than 140%.
In 2005, the automotive industry spent $36.5 billion on advertising. Spending on cable continues to grow with consumers’ widely adopting broadband and VOD. Vehix.com has successfully tapped into this large market opportunity by providing cable companies with new advertising sales opportunities, which include national and local banner ads, sponsorships on video test drives, banner ads on the Vehix.com search inventory page and autos on VOD. Coming this fall, will be a portfolio of video content for the 2007 model year with additional local sales opportunities that will include local promotional dealer videos and local banner ads in inventory search results pages.
