Frequently Asked Questions
1. I inquired about an ad on your site but the response from the seller sounds a little strange. Is it a scam?
Scam artists employ a variety of scams to steal from legitimate buyers. This is an unfortunate problem for all classified sites, including eBay, Craigslist, AutoTrader and Vehix.com. Vehix works hard to recognize and eliminate scams as they are discovered. The person perpetrating this scam is using a valid email address. We recommend you review the consumer protection notice in our confirmation email. We’ve also posted an article that can help you recognize common scams and tactics.

Contact Vehix with Fraudulent Inquiries:
Please send us all email contact you have had with this person so we can add the seller to our blacklist and provide the file we provide to the FBI and Interpol. You can also report the seller directly to the FBI at www.ic3.gov.
2. I have discovered that a listing under "Private Seller" was actually a dealer.
Vehix allows small dealers to list their vehicles under "Private Seller". However, we encourage them to make a note on their listing that alerts the user that they are a dealer.
3. I have tried contacting one of the dealers/private sellers from a vehicle listing on your site and have not received an answer.
Vehix does not control how or when a dealer or private seller contacts you. Some individuals may never return your call or email.
