Vehix.com has assembled a management team that possesses over 100 years experience in the automotive, cable television, marketing, and high technology industries. This management team leverages relationships and develops strategies that will endorse and accelerate the adoption of Vehix and build effective solutions that directly address the changing needs of consumers.

Derek J. Mattsson, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Derek has played a key role at Vehix since its inception. In 1996, as a regional vice president at AT&T Media Services, he championed and developed the concept of packaging cable television and the Internet for auto dealers, ultimately parlaying that strategic sales innovation into a business partnership that transitioned to the current ownership structure with Comcast as the largest shareholder. Today, his leadership has resulted in a cable industry-wide effort, driving greater share of $30+ billion in automotive ad spending. By deploying best-of-class affiliate support and content solutions integrated across three screens, as well as VOD and iTV, Derek has led the way to numerous industry firsts-interactive video, integrated cross-platform ad offerings for national automotive marketers, and sales collaboration between six major cable companies, including: Bresnan, CableONE, Charter, Comcast, Mediacom and Time Warner.

The Vehix mission as a media network tapping into billion dollar ad budgets is the direct result of Derek's extensive background in media sales and the Internet. He began his career with agency side leadership positions on major accounts such as McDonald's. Later as regional vice president for AT&T Media Services, he was responsible for advertising sales in a seven state area where his group consistently outperformed cable industry sales growth averages. In 1999, Derek moved to One Media Place as senior vice president where he led online advertising sales and marketing efforts for the company. Following the acquisition of OMP in 2001, Derek returned to Vehix as COO and then CEO, enabling his vision of Vehix as a multi-platform digital advertising solution. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Derek is an alumnus of the University of Utah where he serves today as an advisor to the David Eccles School of Business. He is the recipient of the Local Sales Management and Marketing Award from the Cable Advertising Bureau and was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of the top 40 CEOs under 40 in the state of Utah. He is married, the father of three children and involved in the support of numerous non-profit organizations in the Utah area.

Glenn Morey, Chief Marketing Officer

A 26-year advertising agency veteran and founder of Morey Evans Advertising in 1989, Glenn is immersed in the television and media industries, particularly in programming and content development, licensing, aggregation, distribution and monetization. Over the past 15 years, he has become a leader in digital and emerging media platforms, developing and marketing new ideas and offerings related to the evolution of TV-video on demand, broadband, iTV and iAds, addressability, and 3-screen integration. As CMO for Vehix, he leads product, distribution and marketing strategies for an integrated, multi-platform digital automotive network, consolidating six cable companies (including Comcast and Time Warner) and their respective technology platforms. His experience also encompasses: Starz / Encore-branding and introduction of the multi-plex concept; TCI Cable-bundled subscriber acquisition; TCI Media Services-brand targeting potential cable advertisers, advertising agencies, and industry influencers; AT&T Broadband-subscriber campaigns for bundled cable, telephony and broadband, and corporate-level assignments for internal branding, recruitment, and special projects in support of CEO mandates; AT&T Media Services-development of early Interactive TV models, interfaces, and enhanced advertising demonstrations; Walter Kaitz Foundation-branded and campaigned in support of diversity throughout the Cable industry; OneMediaPlace-developed brand targeting the advertising agency and media industries, and helped develop products and pilot programs for early adopters of the e-marketplace; Dish Network-direct response subscriber campaigns for DBS services; Level 3-strategic brand development targeted to telephone, wireless and cable industries; Wildblue Communications-strategic brand development and direct marketing targeting underserved geographic markets with broadband access via satellite; OpenTV-strategic brand and product development for interactive and addressable TV advertising technologies. Glenn has won over 200 awards, including CLIOs, IBAs, and Addies for creative excellence, and his work is included in the Adweek Hall of Fame.

Michael van Thiel, Chief Technology Officer

Michael van Thiel is responsible for the direction and successful implementation of all technical product development. This includes the consumer portal www.vehix.com and all other applications. Mike has over 15 years of technology and management experience in a variety of Industries including the Automotive, Mortgage & Title and Healthcare markets. Before joining Vehix.com, Mike held the position of Director of Development at Xi Corporation where he successfully built a political intelligence system that supported many candidates in the 2004 election Cycle. Prior to that he held the position of Director of Development at Ingenix, Inc., a subsidiary of United Health Group, where he successfully led a multi million dollar revenue department responsible for developing and deploying large scale claims management systems. Mike performed his undergraduate work in the Netherlands and earned a Masters Degree in Computer Science as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah.

Geoffrey H. Lee, Vice President - Affiliate Relations

Geoff Lee has over 15 years of sales and marketing experience in advertising and professional services. He served as Advertising Director for Skiing Utah magazine (Utah Holiday Publishing) from 1986 to 1988. In 1988 Geoff joined American Lawyer Media in Dallas, Texas. AmLaw is the world’s foremost legal media giant, whose myriad holdings included Court TV and American Lawyer Magazine. In less than two years, Geoff was responsible for doubling advertising revenue for AmLaw’s Texas region. In 1990 he joined Fox-Morris, a large, national recruiting firm to establish the company’s legal search division. He consistently ranked among the company’s top producers nationally. Geoff founded Counsel Source, Inc., a full service attorney search firm in 1995. In a few short years, he built the company from ground zero to a multi-million dollar business. A key part of his success in growing this business was Geoff’s commitment to Internet marketing. Geoff received a B.S. degree in Political Science from the University of Utah in 1986.

Rufus S. Frost, Vice President Advertising Sales

Rufus Frost has nearly 20 years of sales experience that include both local and national advertising sales for radio, cable television, and Internet. Between 2002 and 2007, Rufus served as the VP of Affiliate relations in the eastern US for Vehix. In this role Rufus has successfully expanded Vehix into over 20 new markets and where Vehix was leveraged against over $21 million in annual cable ad spending. Prior to joining Vehix in 2002, Rufus worked at theDial, an Internet Radio Company, as the Vice President of Ad Sales and sold the first interactive audio advertisers like Sears, P&G, Visa, and Discovery Channel. When Loudeye Corporation acquired theDial, he was responsible for the Central US region for all of Loudeye’s Digital Services, and sold new digital products to the Coca Cola Corporation for branded web radios, growing annual revenues for this division by over 300% in one year. Prior to theDial, Rufus was with AT&T Media Services where he managed large automotive dealer groups, national advertising agencies, and major media companies while successfully growing annual revenues and exceeding annual budgets. He spent six years with Citadel Communications Corporation, serving as sales manager for several Citadel stations. Currently, Rufus serves on the board of the Park City Education Foundation and holds a degree from Bates College.

Christopher M. Satovick, Vice President, Business Development

Chris Satovick is responsible for the business development, syndication, and online marketing groups at Vehix. Chris has more than 16 years experience in business development, and financial and operations management. Before joining Vehix, Chris served as Director of Business Development for Overstock.com. Chris received an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Utah. Chris serves as a mentor for the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business MBA Fast Start program.

Russ Bartlett, Vice President of Products

Russ Bartlett, an automotive internet marketing veteran, leads product management, online marketing and website analytics for Vehix. Prior to joining Vehix, Russ served as Senior Vice President at Autobytel Inc. where he headed their CRM & data companies. During his 8 years with Autobytel, Bartlett led corporate and business development, consumer and dealer products, and several key initiatives. A proven leader in management, product development, and strategy, Bartlett is leading the development of the Vehix.com website toward its goal of becoming a top 5 automotive website. Early in his career, Bartlett worked at both the American Honda and Nissan Motor Corporation where he held a variety of field management positions involving sales, service and parts. As the liaison between manufacturers and dealers, Bartlett gained a unique perspective on the entire automotive lifecycle. Bartlett is a recognized industry thought leader who regular offers perspective and content for publications such as AutoRemarketing and Used Car News and has contributed and participated in Forrester Research panel discussions. Bartlett received a bachelor of business administration in marketing from California State University at Fullerton.

Michael Waterman, Vice President, Product Development

Michael Waterman is responsible for Vehix product development, which includes developing strategy and managing implementation of features and content on www.vehix.com, as well as portals for Vehix dealers and its sales channel. Michael has more than 15 years of experience in product development, content development, marketing and advertising. Prior to joining Vehix, Michael managed marketing communications and advertising for a $100 million business division at Ingenix, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group. He holds bachelors and master’s degrees in Communication from the University of Utah.

Warren Schlichting Vice President, New Business Strategies, Comcast Spotlight

Warren Schlichting is responsible for new business opportunities at Comcast Spotlight. These include the development of advertising products and ad-supported programming designed to take advantage of Comcast's digital infrastructure including iTV, VOD, high-speed data, and VoIP.
Schlichting also oversees interactive advertising sales activities for products such as search, banner and streaming inventory across Comcast's various Internet properties including Comcast.net, Vehix.com and ESPN Clubhouse.
Prior to joining Comcast Spotlight in 2002, Schlichting served as chief executive officer of Hiwire, a software technology company that allowed Internet radio stations to replace on-air broadcast commercials with targeted local online commercials. Hiwire provided software technology and advertising sales services to Clearchannel and other major Internet radio broadcasters in this endeavor. He has also served in executive capacities with the William E. Simon Group and Morgan Stanley & Co.
In 2005, CableFAX magazine listed Schlichting as one of the cable industry's "100 Heavy Hitters" and he has also received the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau (CAB) President's Award.
Schlichting graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Economics.

Meade Camp, Chief Operating Officer

Meade Camp is charged with leading Vehix’s Digital Media Growth Strategy as the leading automotive resource providing content for multiple new media platforms. A media business veteran, he comes to Vehix from NBC Local Media where he served as senior director of interactive sales. He also held senior vice president positions with News Digital Media )Fox), The Weather Channel/weather.com, CNN, Turner, Raycom Sports and Columbia Pictures Television. Camp is an alumnus of the Communications Study program at the University of California Los Angeles.
