2011 Infiniti M37 Is Stylish Luxury Sedan

Posted by Michael Waterman on January 22nd, 2011

Whoever says European makers have a monopoly on style and taste hasn’t spent time in the 2011 Infiniti M37 sedan (or its more burly brother, the M56 sedan).

A quick look reveals the following:

  • A tastefully appointed interior.
  • A stylish exterior and beautiful front end.
  • Between 330 and 420 horsepower depending on your choice between the M37 or M56.
  • Available all-wheel-drive if you choose the M37x or M56x.
  • A staggering array of available safety features, including Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Cruise Control, Distance Control Assist and Blind Spot Warning and Blind Spot Intervention. Not surprisingly, these features land the M37/M56 on the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s list of Top Safety Picks.

Vehix reviewer Chris Wardlaw details many of these safety features in his 2011 Infiniti M37 Test Drive.

Is the M37 worth a test drive? Absolutely if you have between $47,000 and $60,000 burning a hole in your wallet and waiting to be spent on a new luxury sedan.

Be aware that the tech features (including the safety features) can be a bit overwhelming. In other words, if you’re a technophobe, this may not be the car for you. Then again, most vehicles in this luxury price range dazzle with impressive tech so you can expect a learning curve whether you choose BMW, Mercedes-Benz or Lexus.

We like the M37 and would happily drive this car ourselves. It’s a clear improvement on the already attractive and competent M35 of the late 2000s.
