We’re huge Seinfeld fans and can easily justify watching an episode of Jerry’s namesake sitcom for the twentieth (or so) time. “It’s gold, Jerry,” Kenny Bania used to say and we generally agree.
However, this latest piece of comedy and Super Bowl ad featuring Jerry Seinfeld has us scratching our heads.
Sure, it’s funny.
Sure it includes some great references to classic Seinfeld characters and lines.
But this latest TV spot is promoting the very cool Acura NSX–a car that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show a few weeks ago and isn’t slated to move into showrooms until 2015.
That’s at least two Super Bowl games from this Sunday’s match up between the Patriots and the Giants.

That’s a bit like Apple deciding to promote the iPad 6 at this year’s Super Bowl.
It just doesn’t make much since, especially since the only people who will eventually buy the Acura NSX are the fabled “one-percenters” like Jerry Seinfeld or Jay Leno who could actually afford it.
But forget the practical talk; this is the Super Bowl, after all. Check your brain and logic at the door, pour yourself a cold one and enjoy one of the best Super Bowl ads of 2012.
