The five best family sedan deals for January are all compliments of the Big Three manufacturers as Ford, GM and Chrysler Group all have vehicles on sale this month.
We’re highlighting the national offers but be sure you click the rebates and incentives link for any vehicle below to see great deals in your city and town. And don’t discount checking the newspaper or watching TV ads because local dealers will often sweeten the deals with even larger discounts.
Vehix recommends each of the family sedans below. But if you’re in the market for even bigger savings, and you’re not focused on buying the best car but getting the biggest discount, you may want to consider the 2012 Dodge Avenger with a $3,000 cash offer and zero-percent financing or the 2012 Mitsubishi Galant with a $3,500 discount and zero-percent financing. These aren’t our favorite family sedans but they can lay claim to the honor of most-discounted models this month.
As always, manufacturer and dealer discounts can change quickly. But with the exception of the Ford Fusion’s offer that expires on January 31, 2012, the rest of the deals last through February 29 while the Taurus discounts are good through April 2, 2012. - We use nationally available rebate and incentive numbers to help us whittle the list of potential sedans down to a manageable number. We look for double-digit discounts from the window sticker. The bigger the discount, the better the deal.
- We take a look at whether or not low-interest financing is available. Like you, we like rates as close to zero percent as possible.
- Unlike many publications, we pick vehicles we would recommend to our friends, relatives, and colleagues. In other words, cars we would park in our own driveways.
