Top 10 Best-Selling Cars – January 2012

It’s a new year yet the old standards remain as the 10 best-selling vehicles in America. But there is an interesting development as the Honda Accord sold fewer than half as many units as its longtime rival, the Toyota Camry.

We’re huge Seinfeld fans and can easily justify watching an episode of Jerry’s namesake sitcom for the twentieth (or so) time. “It’s gold, Jerry,” Kenny Bania used to say and we generally agree.

Hyundai Elantra Deservingly Named North American Car of the Year

One of the big surprises to emerge from the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) is that the Hyundai Elantra nabbed North American Car of the Year honors.

Volkswagen Sales Up 26 Percent in 2011

Volkswagen vehicles continue to sell at a brisk clip. December sales were the company’s best since 1972, with 32,502 vehicles leaving showrooms. Although 1972 was a few years before Herbie Rides Again hit theaters and kids became enamored by Herbie the Love Bug, it appears there is a whole new group of buyers who can’t get enough of Vee-Dubs.
