For the past few months, General Motors has dialed up the high mileage rhetoric based mostly on the upcoming Chevrolet Volt. Recently, they have started the hype on the Chevrolet Cruze. This is a car we’re excited to drive as we’ve already heard good things about it.

Before you light the torches and storm the Volkswagen headquarters, I assure you that the New Beetle is only being retired in its present form. We think. Volkswagen is prepping a replacement we should see in 2012 or 2013, so the rumor goes.
