4. Acura TL

2009 Acura TLVery recently, the Acura TL went through a revolutionary update in nearly every way. This unique looking machine is more robust and more luxurious than its previous model. To make it onto our list, the Acura TL has to be purchased in base model form, with no options. With that being said, the Acura TL comes with an outstanding array of options. In its regular front drive form, the swift Acura TL provides the optimum mix of sport and sophistication in ride and comfort. The seat comfort is some of the best in the business and all around room is near the top of this list. Instrumentation, dashboard layout, switch gear and gauges are unique and futuristic in design and operation. Opt for the more expensive (and thus – over our pricing limit) super handling all-wheel-drive system (SH-AWD) and your Acura TL will become an all-weather touring sensation. A turbine-like smooth 280 horsepower, 3.5-liter, VTEC®, V-6 with a 5-speed automatic transmission is the only power-plant and transmission available. Despite the new updates, the older Acura TL is still very popular with used or pre-owned shoppers.

3. Audi A4

2009 Audi A4The Audi A4 2.0T “Front Track” FWD is a real driver’s machine. Although it shuns the “Quattro” system in favor for a more economical front-wheel-drive layout, the Audi A4’s driving is still extremely rewarding. With one of the best traction control systems in the business and decades of experience building FWD driver’s machines, Audi built excitement into the base model A4. Despite its cheaper price tag, the Audi A4’s interior is exemplary for its quality and craftsmanship. Many would be surprised to find that the stitching, leathers, metals and plastics are just as good as the materials used it the super exclusive R8. With many controls, switch gear and mechanicals shared with Volkswagens, many would struggle to identify the components. A gutsy, turbocharged 200 horsepower (making 207 lbs feet of torque) 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder is the entry power-plant. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is standard and a great shifting 6-speed manual is optional.
