One of the new gizmos available for the Ram (and many Chrysler LLC vehicles) is the uconnect™ multimedia, wireless system. This system can control and combine everything from Bluetooth®-enabled calling, real-time turn-by-turn voice and traffic guidance, SIRIUS satellite and even turns your vehicle into a rolling internet café. A wireless uplink is available for web uplink.

This truck has more gizmos and goodies available than ANY other pickup truck.

All of these options and features are terrific to be sure. What makes them exciting is how well they work together in what I can only describe as a near-luxury vehicle. Rear passengers benefit from an extremely spacious cabin that can hold three in comfort. I opted to place some rather burly friends inside along with my 4-year-old’s booster seat in the back. Knees, elbows and shoulders never touched. In fact, the overall ride was so relaxed that all of my passengers fell asleep during a fishing expedition.

2009 Dodge Ram 1500Styling is inventive, macho, bold and modern while keeping true to the Dodge Ram’s overall feel. The most notable feature is the deep grill and overhanging appearance of the hood and headlights. Surprisingly, this is one of the most aerodynamic Rams built and the Dodge Ram 1500 has one of the lowest drag coefficients in its class.

Fender bulges, smooth lines and a wide stance further set the Dodge Ram 1500 apart from its competition. My personal favorite on the higher end Ram 1500s are the dual exhaust pipes that jut out from underneath the rear bumper. Have a look and notice the attention to detail Dodge designers took as they curved the lower bumper over the exhaust pipes. It is an excellent touch.
