2010 BMW X6

Hybrid technology meets the BMW crossover with the debut of the ActiveHybrid X6 (view photos). On the other end of the spectrum is the new X6 M, a 555-horsepower performance-tuned crossover with standard 20-inch wheels. The rest of the model lineup only receives minor updates, including a standard power tailgate.

• There are four X6 models for 2010: X6 ActiveHybrid, X6 xDrive35i, X6 xDrive50i and X6 M
• All-new X6 M model with standard 555-horsepower, turbocharged, 4.4-liter V-8 engine
• X6 M also includes high-performance suspension, 20-inch wheels with high-performance tires, high-performance brakes, and special interior appointments
• All-new ActiveHybrid X6 model with standard 400-horsepower, turbocharged, 4.4-liter V-8 engine and twin electric motors for a combined output of 480 horsepower
• ActiveHybrid X6 boasts a 20-percent improvement in fuel economy
• New fourth-generation iDrive controller with 8.8-inch display and 80GB media storage
• Power tailgate becomes standard equipment
• Automatic high beams are now offered
• Rearview camera now includes a “top-view” feature
• HD radio becomes standard
• A new $1500 performance option on models with the M Sport package increases engine output by up to 40 horsepower
