I am regularly amazed by crash test videos. Even when you know that the big smash-up is coming, you can still be surprised (and even shocked) by the results. Vehix has a whole section dedicated to Crash Test videos to help you weigh the overall safety of any vehicle you are considering.

The article begins by demonstrating what happens when a Smart Fortwo and a Mercedes-Benz C300 meet head on. The results aren't pretty, especially if you're the Smart driver. However, both vehicles are four-star rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for front impact tests.
